National Electrical Engineer
LOCATION:
Responsibilities:
The consultant/service provider will be responsible for following tasks:
- Support the development of ancillary service rules, regulations, and technical guidelines for Cambodia’s power sector.
- Contribute to the design and assessment of ancillary service tariff structures and technical requirements, including the integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Assist in reviewing the technical, operational, and regulatory aspects of utility-scale BESS and provide recommendations aligned with international best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Electricité du Cambodge (EDC), the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), the Electricity Authority of Cambodia (EAC), and other stakeholders throughout the assignment.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project deliverables in accordance with ADB requirements.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations, technical meetings, workshops, and training activities.
- Provide technical inputs to ensure the successful delivery of the assignment within the agreed work plan and schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience in power sector projects, preferably in transmission, substations, or grid operations.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage systems or renewable energy integration is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written Khmer and English
- Detailed work plan and timeline of the assignment
